Chef Choi Hyun-seok stated that he was scammed while receiving an invitation to appear on 'Jungle Food 2'.
On the afternoon of 27th, a production presentation for the new entertainment program 'Jungle Food 2' was held at the SBS headquarters in Mok-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul. The presentation featured Han Bi-in, PD Ryu Ji-hwan, and cast members Ryu Su-young, Choi Hyun-seok, Kim Ok-bin, Choi Daniel, Yoon Nam-no, and Lee Joon, who shared stories.
'Jungle Food' is a program that tells the story of cooking and eating using ingredients that can only be found in the local jungle, interacting with the locals. Season 2 features food stories set against the backdrop of Peru, the land of the Incas, and the emerald Caribbean Sea.
In this season, the reliable chef lineup includes 'Jungle Food' host Ryu Su-young, Choi Hyun-seok, Yoon Nam-no, and new food friends Choi Daniel, Kim Ok-bin, and Lee Joon, promising fun and chemistry. Additionally, the studio will be enriched by joining Jeon Hyun-moo, DinDin, and Heo Young-ji. On this day, Choi Hyun-seok remarked, "I took on the specialized and professional part in 'Peru Food.' It's not a travel program, but can be viewed as a documentary on extreme employment." He also noted, "They clearly told me it was a gourmet journey, but it seems I ended up at a jungle experience site," indicating he was scammed.
He continued, "Though my body suffered, when I came back, I wondered if it was a scary drug or poison to have good memories. It's been about a month, and for the first week or two, I couldn't let go of my anger. As time passed, my heart became warm again, and those friends who struggled together became good memories. It was nice. I say I won't do it again, but it was a delightful trip that I miss after it's over."
Meanwhile, SBS 'Jungle Food 2 - Peru Food' will premiere today (27th) at 9 p.m.
