The group Young Posse is about to release their special album.
Young Posse (Jeong Seon-hye, Wi Yeon-jeong, Gi Ana, Do Eun, Han Ji-eun) released a highlight medley of their special album 'COLD' through their official YouTube channel at midnight today (27th).
Unlike typical highlight medleys, this one features minimal member vocals, highlighting the charm of each song's beat, showcasing Young Posse's unique, adventurous, and quirky 'K-pop scene rebel' characteristics.
'COLD' includes 'Lovestagram,' which recreates the unique atmosphere of the 1980s hip-hop's first golden age in the GOLDEN ERA genre, 'Blue Dot' with prominent use of electronic sounds in the RAY genre, the emotional sound-infused lo-fi hip-hop instrumental 'Daddy Don't Leave Me,' 'Santa Claus left me no goodz' based on trendy trap styles, and the alternative hip-hop genre 'Oskar's Drawing' that encompasses Young Posse's diverse charms.
In particular, the title track 'COLD (feat. 10CM)' talks about the temperature difference that messes with our hearts. It features the voice of 10CM that adds coherence to the narrative, allowing listeners to fully experience Young Posse's appeal as they seamlessly switch between rap and vocals. 'COLD (YPS Colder Ver.),' the closing track of the special album, is a hip-hop genre song filled only with the members' serious voices.
The special album 'COLD' will be released nationwide on March 2nd at 6 p.m., completing a richer cast lineup with the support of famous Taiwanese actor Zheng Jinghua and renowned Taiwanese director RAY, alongside 10CM. All the members have their names credited for the lyrics of the included songs, showcasing their significantly advanced musical capabilities.
