Singer Jay Park has declared war on the so-called 'Reka YouTuber.'
According to reports from a media outlet on the 25th, Park's team requested approval from a U.S. court for 'YouTuber Shinwon identification disclosure' against Google last January.
According to the request sent by the agency, More Vision Communication, YouTuber A posted two shorts videos and a post about Jay Park in October 2024, and left comments attacking him.
In addition, A is reported to have spread malicious falsehoods about Jay Park being involved in drug smuggling, illegal coins (cryptocurrencies), and Chinese triads.
In response, Park's team filed a defamation lawsuit against A in December last year, and it appears they submitted a discovery request to a U.S. court last month to identify A's Shinwon. The identification procedure is being conducted in the U.S. because the headquarters of Google, which operates YouTube, is located there.
Park's team pointed out in the request, "The posts and shorts have recorded millions of views and thousands of comments, seriously damaging Mr. Park's reputation." The court is expected to assign the case to a judge and review the request.
