The singer Olivia Marsh's side reiterated its position regarding the plagiarism allegations, saying, "We only determined that there is similarity, but it is not an admission of plagiarism."

On the 26th, Olivia Marsh's agency, Amplify, stated in an official statement that it judged the claims that the title track "Backseat" of their artist Olivia Marsh is similar to Isaac Dunbar's "Onion Boy" as valid and is proceeding with tasks such as credit modification based on respect for the creator. After confirming the facts, they recognized the similarity and excluded the responsible songwriters from the credits while including Isaac Dunbar. This means that they acknowledged Isaac Dunbar's rights due to the recognition of some similarity between the two songs, but it was not an admission of plagiarism by Olivia Marsh," they added further. They continued, "Our artist received the track and worked on the topline and demo lyrics, instrumental arrangements, and vocal work together. During this process, neither the artist nor the agency were informed that the given songwriters used parts of 'Onion Boy' as a reference." They explained, "The artist and agency feel a great responsibility for not properly confirming this during the album production process, and we have communicated with Isaac Dunbar's side to resolve the issue." Furthermore, they stated, "The artist empathizes with the sense of loss that Isaac Dunbar might have felt and sent a message of apology. Isaac Dunbar also stated that he raised issues only with those who reworked his track, not with the artist specifically." Lastly, Olivia Marsh's side noted, "As we previously mentioned, we have reached an amicable agreement with Isaac Dunbar, and we have completed necessary tasks such as negotiating on the equity of the composition and registering credits to ensure the rights of the original creator. At the same time, we are also reviewing follow-up measures against the songwriters who caused the current situation."

Earlier, Olivia Marsh faced plagiarism allegations when her double title track "Backseat" from her first EP, released on the 13th, was claimed to be similar to Isaac Dunbar's "Onion Boy." In response, Olivia Marsh's side acknowledged the similarity on the 24th through an official statement.
