The stills of Choi Ye-na, Han Seong-min, Jeong Min-kyu, Eun-chan, and Jo Dan, who will appear as the family of So Yu-jin in "The Land of Villains," have been unveiled.
The new KBS2 sitcom "The Land of Villains" is set to premiere in March. Written by Chae Woo and Park Kwang-yeon and directed by Kim Young-jo and Choi Jeong-eun, the show is a situational comedy drama that captures the sometimes rough and sometimes warm daily lives of K-zoomma sisters and their eccentric families.
In the drama, Choi Ye-na transforms into the character Koo Won-hee, who comes to live in the house of Onara. She becomes deeply entangled with the family due to a life that changes in an instant. Han Seong-min plays the role of Seo I-na, the daughter of Na-ra and Seo Hyun-cheol. Despite her innocent appearance, she is a fiery woman equipped with both drinking skills and a playful side.
Jeong Min-kyu plays the role of Seo Young-hoon, I-na's younger brother. Young-hoon, who always ends up being taken advantage of by his older sister, expresses his grievances and anger through lyrics, dreaming of a hip-hop phenomenon. Eun-chan delivers a passionate performance as Song Kang, the only hope of Oh Yu-jin and Song Jin-woo. He is a model student who ticks all the boxes with his looks, height, and intelligence. The role of Song Ba-da, Oh Yu-jin's youngest son, is played by child actor Jo Dan. Ba-da brings smiles as the cutest of the bunch but can leave adults feeling awkward with his well-mannered speech.
The stills released on the 26th capture the chaotic daily lives of the family members including Won-hee, Na-ra, Yu-jin, and the children I-na, Young-hoon, Kang, and Ba-da, drawing attention.
First, Won-hee, who plays the double bass, has a cold gaze that freezes everyone. While she radiates an aura that captivates merely by being still, her extremes amplify curiosity as she hides in a corner. Meanwhile, Na-ra, whose cheeks are rosy, and the eldest I-na, subtly smiling, further pique interest regarding what unexpected charm lies behind her lovely facade.
On the other hand, Young-hoon and Kang, who attend the same school and class as Won-hee, draw attention with their shining looks. Unlike the model student Kang, Young-hoon seems distant from studying as he is intensely focused on something while wearing a headset. The two are expected to bring joy to viewers by showcasing a relatable camaraderie with Choi Ye-na.
Additionally, Jo Dan's smile as the youngest Ba-da, who beams with a bright smile, brings warmth just by looking at him. Interest is centered on what kind of performance this adorable youngest will showcase in "The Land of Villains."
With the full-fledged family now formed by the household members Won-hee, I-na, Young-hoon, Kang, and Ba-da in "The Land of Villains," anticipation is rising. Their comedic chemistry and the story of the eccentric family armed with laughter are making fans eagerly await the actual broadcast. The performances of Choi Ye-na and Eun-chan, along with promising new faces Han Seong-min, Jeong Min-kyu, and Jo Dan, are expected to enrich the show.
KBS2's new sitcom "The Land of Villains" is set to broadcast for the first time on March 19 at 9:50 p.m.
