Singer and pianist Jeong Dong-hwan, a member of the male duo Melomance, has been appointed as a full-time professor at Seogang University.
On the 26th, his agency, Abyss Company, noted, "Jeong Dong-hwan has been appointed as a full-time professor in the Department of Practical Music at Seogang University."
Jeong Dong-hwan has extensive experience teaching students since he worked as an instructor from 2020. As he is appointed as a full-time professor, he is expected to offer deeper and more systematic lectures based on a variety of experiences in the field, including the existing curriculum of the Practical Music Department and the overall process of K-POP production.
The Department of Practical Music at Seogang University, where Jeong Dong-hwan has been appointed, includes outstanding faculty members representing South Korea, such as Department Chair Jang Ung-sang, Kang Ha-sung, and Song Seong-kyung.
Jeong Dong-hwan said, "I will do my best to guide students by following the teachings of excellent professors," expressing his ambition. He added, "I will strive to discover and nurture outstanding junior singers."
Jeong Dong-hwan made his debut in 2015 as part of the male duo Melomance. He received immense love with hit songs such as "Gift," "It must be Love," and "Confession." He has garnered attention for his emotional performances and composition skills and continues various personal activities, including the release of solo albums and work as a music director.
