'Couple Palace 2' opens the unpredictable group date.
Today (26th) at 10:40 p.m., the fourth episode of Mnet's 'Couple Palace 2' (directed by Lee Sun-young, produced by Jung Min-seok) will unveil the results of the speed dating, the last golden opportunity to converse with several people within a limited time before the group date. Only couples matched by selecting each other as their top picks will be able to enter the much-anticipated group date gateway, 'Palace Week.'
Previously, four men, number 4 Kim Hyun-joong, an employee of Company L, and number 10 Lim Si-yeon, the representative of a fashion brand, as well as number 7 Choi Jae-yeon, an oral surgeon, and number 18 Bae Joo-hee, a pharmacist, were revealed as entrants of Palace Week, creating a rosy atmosphere. Attention is focused on how many couples among several participants, including number 26 Lee Jeong-won and number 9 Oh Sin-da, as well as number 3 Hwang Jae-geun and number 19 Yoo Hye-won, will successfully match.
In the previously released preview video of episode 4, the story of number 5 Kim Ye-rin, a Miss Korea contestant who returned to the show after losing 20kg, catches attention as she is genuinely interested in marriage. Kim Ye-rin enthusiastically participates in speed dating but struggles against the men’s relentless defenses, stating, 'Dating is too hard.' A scene is previewed where someone calls out to number 5, raising interest in whether Kim Ye-rin can dramatically advance to Palace Week.
Palace Week, which spans 16 relationships known as 'legends,' also opens its highly anticipated first chapter. During Palace Week, where group dating begins, there exist a 'single zone' to freely seek marriage partners and a 'couple zone' for couples to prepare for marriage together. The shifts in emotions and choices from both the couple zone and single zone may become another point of interest. The preview shows a tension-filled exchange such as 'You’re not a couple yet' that ignites curiosity for a 'chaotic romance.'
Meanwhile, an unexpected additional entrant, the 'male catfish,' stirs up the single zone. Furthermore, the first 'female catfish' in 'Couple Palace' is also anticipated, raising questions about the identities of the catfish and what new changes might arise in the love lines as their appearances unfold.
'Couple Palace 2' airs every Wednesday at 10:40 p.m. simultaneously on Mnet and tvN.
