Channel A's new dating variety show "Heart Pairing" revealed studio stills of the five MCs—Yoon Jong-shin, Lee Cheong-ah, Choi Si-won, Mimi, and Professor Park Ji-sun—who became immersed in the filming from the start.
Premiering at 10:50 p.m. on March 7 (Friday), Channel A's "Heart Pairing" is a dating program that portrays the romance of youth who want to marry, along with the realities of premarital dating. It captures the journey of young men and women who want to date someone they plan to marry, moving beyond simple "some" and seriously getting to know one another to find their marriage partners. The cast filmed last year in beautiful romantic cities such as Florence and Tuscany in Italy, and for about a month afterward in Seoul, pairing up based on lifestyle, economic views, and perspectives on dating and marriage, giving their all to find the best match.
Meanwhile, the production team raised expectations for the broadcast by presenting on-set stills from the first recording featuring the five MCs—Yoon Jong-shin, Lee Cheong-ah, Choi Si-won, Mimi, and Professor Park Ji-sun. In the stills, the five MCs are seen smiling contently while watching the VCR of the participants. Particularly, Yoon Jong-shin and Lee Cheong-ah attract attention as they are engrossed in reading the "pairing book," which will be a signature item of "Heart Pairing."
Lee Cheong-ah, who read the "pairing book" first, explained, "The participants answered 33 questions about love and marriage before meeting for the first time, and this content was made into a book." She continued, "It serves as both a guide for describing oneself and, at the same time, as a guide for expectations about married life with a partner. I think it fits perfectly with the purpose of finding one's own life partner in 'pairing.'" Choi Si-won also noted, "The device that left the strongest impression on me after joining 'Heart Pairing' was the 'pairing book.' I received it before the recordings and read it carefully; I was surprised at how differing values can be among people. Additionally, the honest yet realistic responses really resonated with me," expressing his anticipation for the show. Professor Park Ji-sun commented, "The fun of guessing the actual owner of the pairing book, which has different cover colors, will be quite enjoyable," adding, "I was curious about the answers of the single MCs—Lee Cheong-ah, Choi Si-won, and Mimi—making it a book of value for all singles. I have a feeling it will become a 'guidebook' for singles regarding love and marriage."
The production team said, "The participants, who approached 'Heart Pairing' with sincerity, will have time to infer each other by reading their 'pairing books' before their first meeting. Through the 'pairing book,' they can gauge whether they align well in terms of dating and marriage values as well as practical matters like economic concepts. We look forward to seeing whether the connection made through the book will attract them in reality and ask viewers to watch the romantic journey of the young men and women who will meet fatefully at the 'pairing house' in Italy."
