
Comedian Lee Soo-ji will act alongside Im Min-jung, Kim Ji-seok, and others.
According to OSEN's report on the 26th, Lee will appear in the new drama 'Yes, Let's Get a Divorce' (written by Hwang Ji-eon, directed by Joo Sung-woo) and continue her career as an actress.
The new drama 'Yes, Let's Get a Divorce' is a work that tells the real divorce experiences of a couple representing a wedding dress shop who are seeking to put an end to their exhausting married life, featuring Im Min-jung, Kim Ji-seok, Ki Eun-se, Go Seung-hwan, Lee Hyun-jin, Wang Bit-na, Jeong Eui-je, Lee Jin-i, and others.
Im Min-jung returns to the small screen after about five years since 'Once Again.' In the drama, she will play the role of Baek Mi-young, the representative of Gi & White, and will showcase a tumultuous divorce story. Kim Ji-seok will portray Ji Won-ho, Mi-young's husband and co-representative of Gi & White.
Lee Soo-ji, who will be acting alongside Im Min-jung and Kim Ji-seok, has also appeared in dramas such as 'My Lovely Kim Sam-soon,' 'Falling for Innocence,' 'Happy Ending Again,' 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo,' 'Soundtrack #1,' 'Strong Woman Do Bong-soon,' 'Magical Romance,' 'The Third Charm,' 'Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol,' 'Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency,' 'Touch,' 'Ssanggap Pocha,' 'Come to Witch’s Restaurant,' 'Shin movie 2,' 'Queen of Tears,' 'Rise Up with Seon-jae,' and 'Shin movie 3,' establishing herself as an actress, and she is expected to leave a deep impression in 'Yes, Let's Get a Divorce.'
Lee Soo-ji, who debuted as a comedian in KBS as part of the 27th recruitment in 2012, is active in shows like 'Gag Concert' and 'SNL Korea.' Recently, she has gained attention for various parodies on her YouTube channel 'Hot Issue Ji' amid controversy surrounding her 'Daechi Mom' video. The video, which parodies her child’s academy riding life while wearing the luxury padding dubbed 'Gangnam Mom's School Uniform,' unexpectedly drew ire towards actress Han Ga-in, who previously shared her riding life. Subsequently, Han expressed concern over the negative comments directed at her children and made the video private. Lee remained silent regarding the controversy, telling OSEN, "Please contact my company or manager."
Meanwhile, the new drama 'Yes, Let's Get a Divorce,' in which Lee Soo-ji is appearing, is being produced with the goal of airing in the first half of 2025 and on global OTT platforms.
