Twice's Dahyun revealed behind-the-scenes details about the production of the 'That Era' OST.
On the afternoon of the 26th, Twice's Dahyun, who made her acting debut through the movie 'The Girl We Liked,' appeared as a guest on SBS PowerFM's 'Wendy's Young Street.'
The film 'The Girl We Liked', based on the Taiwanese movie of the same name, tells the story of Jinwoo (played by Jinyoung), who spent countless days confessing to Seonah (played by Dahyun), capturing his first love at eighteen.
On that day, Dahyun shared her playlist and engaged in conversation. First, she selected the OST 'The Girl We Liked,' sung with Jinyoung, saying, "This song is very meaningful to me. I have participated a lot in writing lyrics, but this is my first time participating in composing. While working on the lyrics, I really worked with the heart of Jinwoo and Seonah. I put my heart into it and worked hard."
He noted, "The OST flows during the movie's ending credits; please listen while feeling the lyrics that Jinwoo and Seonah want to convey. It would be great if you could enjoy it with lingering feelings."
In response, Wendy noted, "It might differ depending on the storyline, but personally, I feel more immersed when the actors participate in singing. I think it's really good."
When Dahyun was asked about the behind-the-scenes of the song creation and her favorite lyrics, she said, "I love the lyrics 'the days we liked, colored blue.' The color blue has significance in our movie. As Jinwoo keeps poking Seonah's back, he gets colored blue. It also deals with youth, and blue feels hopeful; I think it can be associated with youth, so it's colored blue. When you like someone, you can end up loving yourself, who loves the person you like. That can also make you shine. I put a lot of that into the lyrics. Thank you for listening attentively."
Wendy asked, "This is your first time participating in composing. You've done lyrics for Twice's songs, but which is harder?" Dahyun replied, "Both are difficult. Since you have to create, you have to define the topic well. Both are actually challenging."
Meanwhile, 'The Girl We Liked' is currently screening in theaters nationwide.
