Singer Song Ga-in clarified about a luxury ring on 'Shoe Off, Divorcee Man.'
On the episode that aired on the 25th of this month on SBS entertainment show 'Shoe Off, Divorcee Man' (hereafter 'Divorcee Man'), singer Song Ga-in, Byun Jin-seop, and Kim Jung-min appeared. Memories of Byun Jin-seop and Kim Jung-min, who were popular in the 1990s, blossomed in the studio.
Tak Jae-hoon remarked, "I bought my first car in the 90s, and I always played Byun Jin-seop's cassette in it. The popularity of Byun Jin-seop back then was unmatched." He also reminisced, "It was a time when the rear cart billboard charts were trending. I hesitated to buy tapes from singers who only had one hit song, but I had no regrets buying from Kim Jung-min and Byun Jin-seop since they had many hits. You could listen to multiple songs, right?"
Byun Jin-seop is the first million-seller singer in Korea, having sold 1.8 million copies. Tak Jae-hoon joked, "They say singers follow their song titles, but Byun Jin-seop isn't alone, right? We didn't sing songs about being alone." Byun Jin-seop shot back, "I originally sang about being alone, but didn't I later sing 'Again to You'? But aren't you being too childish?"
Kim Jung-min noted that he mismanaged his singer concept. Tak Jae-hoon commented, "Kim Jung-min sings with his throat strained. It seems like nothing has changed even after 30 years."
Kim Jung-min conveyed behind-the-scenes stories, saying, "No. I didn't want to sing like that because 'Sad Covenant' exploded, but I went with the wrong concept initially. I visited the hospital often. Now I can sing for more than 2 hours, and I don't visit the hospital anymore. I sing gently." He showcased his stage presence, captivating the audience with both admiration and humor.
Song Ga-in showcased an emotional performance. From Sim Soo-bong's 'Tears Flow' to the deeply emotional 'Asadal,' Song Ga-in's tone was truly versatile, and her singing ability was incredibly charming yet full of charisma.
Song Ga-in expressed pride in her fans, saying, "My fan cafe directly organized my security team. When I go to local events, there are times when the event organizers don't hire security. Since there are times when the audience may crowd, it can be dangerous, so my fans take care of all the security."
Meanwhile, unique facts about Song Ga-in's family were revealed. Song Ga-in's mother has participated in 'National Song Contest,' and her older brother is a traditional Korean music artist who won the grand prize at the 2024 Korean traditional music awards. Song Ga-in mentioned, "We are from the same art high school and the same Central University. My brother is more famous in traditional music, so I used to be referred to as Seong-jae's younger sister, but now I've become more famous, so they call him Ga-in's older brother."
Later, Song Ga-in also clarified about the luxury ring. Tak Jae-hoon suddenly asked, "Who bought this C brand ring for you?" and Song Ga-in replied, "I bought it." However, Tak Jae-hoon pressed on, "Wasn't it bought by a man?"
