S.E.S. revealed her recent transformation into a farmer.
On the 25th, she posted, "Last Friday, I visited Asan, Chungcheongnam-do. I wanted to check how well the centella plants are growing in the 1,500 pyeong greenhouse."
She added, "I knew the benefits of centella from my studies, but it seems that growing good centella is not an easy task, is it?" She noted, "It was a cold day when the snow wasn't melting, but they were growing well inside the greenhouse. (I've heard that even a little wind can kill the young centella plants.) The essence I brewed was so concentrated, and it was a very satisfying day. I must grow them diligently and earnestly. Today's takeaway: being a farmer is really difficult!"
The released photos capture her managing the centella plants in a 1,500 pyeong greenhouse located in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do. Dressed in comfortable attire, she transformed into a farmer, 180 degrees different from the image she previously showed, capturing attention.
Previously, she mentioned on her personal social media, "I've actually been very interested in vegetables. Not many people know this, but I once translated and published a book on vegetables. Ever since having children, I've been more conscious about health, trying to feed them the best I can, just like all mothers do." She said, "Through an acquaintance who knew me, I learned about a company and had the opportunity to participate in the development and investment of health products made with centella as the main ingredient. It was not an easy challenge for me, but I did my best with the intention of creating products that my children as well as many others could enjoy healthily and deliciously," sharing the news of her venture into business.
Meanwhile, she was sued in 2018 for failing to repay gambling funds amounting to about 700 million won. She faced charges of habitual gambling amounting to several hundred million won over 26 instances in places like Macau from August 2016 to May 2018, and in February 2019, she was sentenced to six months in prison, with a two-year suspended sentence and 80 hours of community service.
Additionally, as creditors who lent her gambling funds placed a provisional seizure on all the multiple residences owned by her, tenants were unable to return their deposit, leading to a lawsuit over the return of the lending amount, but it was concluded in November 2020 through an agreement.
Afterward, she attempted a comeback in April 2022 by debuting as an internet broadcaster (BJ), but she stirred controversy and received widespread criticism due to her revealing outfits.
