Former MBC announcer Kim Dae-ho, who wrote 'I'm leaving to make money' as his reason for resignation, is returning to his former station after about 20 days.
Kim Dae-ho will be a guest on MBC FM4U's 'Date at Two with Ahn Young-mi' scheduled to air on the afternoon of the 25th, marking his first radio schedule since his resignation.
Kim Dae-ho left MBC on the 4th. He joined MBC through the special program 'New Employee' celebrating the 50th anniversary of the network's founding in 2011 and has appeared in 'TV in TV', 'Unification Outlook', 'No Complaints UP', 'Dancing with the Stars Season 3', gaining attention through the MBC announcer YouTube channel 'Aren't You News' and rising to prominence in the entertainment industry through 'I Live Alone'. He has since appeared in 'Save Me! Homes', 'Ramen Expert Season 4', 'Great Guide', 'Fool Genius 2', 'Solo Alumni Meeting', 'Car to the Future', 'Run Away', 'Happiness of Zero Won', 'Glad I Could Rest', 'Massage Road', and 'The Captain's Side Dish', and also served as a caster for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Receiving recognition for awards such as the 2023 MBC Broadcasting Entertainment Awards Male Rookie Award, the 2023 Korea Announcer Awards TV Entertainment Category Presenter Award, the 51st Korea Broadcasting Awards Announcer Award, and the 32nd Korea Culture and Entertainment Awards Entertainment Star Award, Kim Dae-ho revealed his intention to resign on the episode of 'I Live Alone' aired on the 31st of last month. He noted, 'Rather than quitting the company, I thought about how to live another life. I felt like I needed to repay what I had received, and through the 'Paris Olympics', it felt like I had done everything that I could do in various fields at the company.'
Four days after announcing his intention to resign, Kim Dae-ho's resignation process has been completed. Sharing on Instagram with the post '0204 Director' and revealing his resignation letter that read 'I'm leaving to make money' and 'The moment change came into my life,' Kim became a 'free person' after 14 years with the company.
'FA big catch' Kim Dae-ho has quickly settled into a new nest. He signed an exclusive contract with Big Planet Made Entertainment, home to the group The Boyz and artists such as Taemin, Lee Mu-jin, VIVIZ (Eunha, SinB, Umji), B.O., Ha Seung-woon, Ren, performance director Kasper, Kany, singer and actor Lee Seung-gi, entertainer Lee Soo-geun, and Bad Villain, as well as the parent company One Hundred, which includes EXO's Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen.
With the contract signed, he confirmed his appearance on MBC Every1's 'Great Guide 2', departing with Park Myung-soo and Choi Daniel to immediately commence his entertainment activities. He has continued to follow up his appearances on 'Glad I Could Rest', 'Save Me! Homes', and 'I Live Alone', maintaining his momentum in the entertainment industry.
Amidst these developments, Kim Dae-ho will make a long-awaited appearance on 'Date at Two' hosted by Ahn Young-mi, meeting with listeners. This will be Kim's first appearance on an MBC radio program after his resignation. Expectations are high for Kim Dae-ho's commentary as a broadcaster rather than as an announcer.
Meanwhile, Kim Dae-ho's appearance on MBC FM4U's 'Date at Two with Ahn Young-mi' will be broadcast from 2 p.m. on the 25th.
