He said, "I also watched the live broadcast from the first episode. I started with various emotions, including worry and excitement about how viewers would feel about our drama," adding, "I found it more enjoyable than I expected." He continued, "There may be points that seem a bit exaggerated and unfamiliar, but if you look at it from a slightly positive perspective, it becomes quite pleasant. I felt it was very cheerful, honest, and unrestrained. I also thought that if we tried to take our story too seriously, it might not have fit at all. Personally, I liked the points that were presented lightly."
He also stated, "I thought some comments might seem a bit provocative and could be unfamiliar, but I hoped people would view those things with an open mind. Ultimately, it's a story about people. What's central is our honest story as human beings. Following those points might give you a somewhat different appreciation." Regarding whether he felt upset or disappointed about misunderstandings of the intent, Han Ji-eun noted, "I don't think we can impose viewpoints. I really hope that diversity is respected a bit more."
Above all, Han Ji-eun stated, "I think "Ask the Stars" is somewhat a primal message of humanity. It can reflect instinctual and essential aspects. Since it may be felt differently depending on the perspective, there can be ambiguous expressions. That's why there may be challenges in viewing it intuitively. I hope you can watch while focusing on the honest emotional lines of our essence and nature towards people.
