Recently, Kim Sungkyu of the group Infinite will resume activities after overcoming the sorrow of his father's passing.

Infinite noted on the official social media on the 25th that "Kim Sungkyu is currently spending time mourning after completing the funeral services of the deceased today (25th) with his family, acquaintances, and members of Infinite."

The agency explained about Kim Sungkyu's future activities that "after careful discussions with the artist, he plans to participate in the schedule for the 2024 - 2025 INFINITE 15th ANNIVERSARY CONCERT 'LIMITED EDITION' IN HONGKONG on March 1 (Saturday) and all content and social media uploads that had been suspended will proceed sequentially."

They further noted, "We once again thank the numerous fans for their condolences and care and hope that Kim Sungkyu's return will be welcomed warmly."

Earlier, Kim Sungkyu's biological sister passed away on the 22nd after battling an illness. The previous day, on the 21st, Kim Sungkyu had completed the departure procedures to Malaysia for an Infinite tour, but announced that he could not participate in the performance due to unavoidable circumstances. The other members, excluding Sungkyu, departed and continued the performance as scheduled.

The news of his absence was conveyed the following day, and many sent messages of condolences and support. In response, Infinite decided to halt all content uploads, including the promotion of their mini album 'LIKE INFINITE', and joined in mourning.
