Broadcaster Kim Dae-ho, who is a former announcer, regretted leaving his job.
On the afternoon of the 25th, Kim Dae-ho appeared as a guest on MBC FM4U's 'Two O'clock Date with Ahn Young-mi' (hereinafter 'Two Date').
Kim Dae-ho joined MBC as a 30th batch announcer through the MBC announcer competition program 'New Employee' that aired in 2011. After that, he became active in various fields such as news, radio, and entertainment. In 2023, he appeared on 'I Live Alone' and shone, winning the Rookie Award at that year's 'Broadcast Entertainment Awards', and in the following year, he won the Best Award and Entertainer of the Year Award, establishing himself as a rising entertainer. However, after leaving MBC on the 4th, Kim Dae-ho declared himself 'free' and soon signed an exclusive contract with One Hundred, indicating a fresh start.
Ahn Young-mi introduced Kim Dae-ho by saying, "Today we have the broadcaster Kim Dae-ho, the biggest output created by 'Two Date.' He has been here for an hour already," and added, "The person who will play with me today is a star born from MBC, nurtured by 'Two Date', and sent off by 'I Live Alone'. He is Kim Dae-ho, the former employee who achieved the dream of all workers in this era by resigning and transforming into a broadcaster."
Kim Dae-ho said, "I am Kim Dae-ho, the former announcer and current broadcaster," bowing at a 90-degree angle, and when asked why he had arrived an hour early, he replied, "I was really nervous. To be honest, I haven't done almost any radio in the last two years including radio news when I suddenly became a guest in my last broadcast when I was busy at the company. I feel the characteristics of the radio medium. It feels so long since I was close to the listeners that I am nervous."
Ahn Young-mi said, "I don't know if it's my imagination, but Kim Dae-ho, who always teased and mocked me beside musically, has grown up. I wonder what happened to the announcer who used to shed so much liquid from every hole." At that moment, a listener pointed out Kim Dae-ho's 'drunk tone', and he responded, "I still commute by bicycle, so I thought it would be warm today and came riding, but it was colder than I expected. I felt the cold wind, and I realized that MBC is warm only after going out," he shared with a bittersweet sentiment.
In response to comments saying, "I envy your resignation," Kim Dae-ho said, "The company is warm, everyone..." Ahn Young-mi noted, "Since you declared yourself free, you have become more humble and diligent," and Kim Dae-ho expressed, "Because there are many people looking at me, I have become more careful."
Ahn Young-mi said, "It's understandable to feel pressured. Upon hearing that you were appearing on 'Two Date,' many articles were published even before your appearance. I think this has been the most articles written while doing the segment in a somewhat shaky manner. Today is said to be your first appearance at MBC since your resignation," and Kim Dae-ho confirmed, "That's right. What is on TV now is likely footage that was recorded before, and this is actually the first time I've come to the company live," and when asked about his feelings on returning, he said, "It feels like visiting a house I've emptied. There are definitely my traces, but it feels unfamiliar. I feel a bit cautious about meeting the landlord. I might feel a little scared meeting people I used to know in the other apartments, but seeing the surroundings feels both familiar and mixed with various thoughts."
When asked, "Don't you have an employee ID anymore?", he responded, "I don't have an employee ID now, so they even wrote down my resident registration address." Ahn Young-mi was surprised, asking, "You should have known it was Kim Dae-ho, right?" and he replied, "Aren't I an outsider now?" and added, "I came in after going through all the proper procedures."
