Cha Ji-yeon revealed her love for her in-laws.
On the 24th, SBS aired 'Same Bed, Different Dreams Season 2 - You Are My Destiny' (hereinafter 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'), showcasing the daily life of the couple Cha Ji-yeon and Yoon Tae-on.
After moving to their home in Seoul, the couple Cha Ji-yeon and Yoon Tae-on hosted a housewarming party for Yoon's family. The in-laws expressed their warm feelings by bringing gifts of crab, which Cha Ji-yeon loves, as well as giving her pocket money, acknowledging the effort of moving. Watching this, Kim Ho-young noted, "I heard that you receive a lot of love from your in-laws." Cha Ji-yeon happily said, "I finally came to Seoul. I've come to be with my mother-in-law and father-in-law."
After finishing their meal, the family had fruit and chatted. In front of her in-laws, Cha Ji-yeon began to expose her thrifty husband. She shared how her husband recycles wet wipes, stating, "I gave him my card to use for living expenses, but he asks me every time he wants to buy something. He spends too little money."
Cha Ji-yeon asked her mother-in-law, "What did you think when we met?" and her in-laws confessed that they felt burdened because Cha Ji-yeon was so famous. The father-in-law added, "I told my son to think again, as the difference is like heaven and earth. 'If you're going to marry her, do it with determination.' Didn't we have a crisis at one point? Back then, I told my son, 'You are a sinner because I said so.'"
The couple recalled the day they brought up the topic of divorce to their parents. Yoon Tae-on explained, "When I talked about divorce with my parents, they cursed at me. They said, 'What have you done? You can't even understand your child's feelings, and you're spouting nonsense.'" Cha Ji-yeon added, "I think it's love for their son. I believe that. They want to protect the family not because I did well and they support me, but because they love their son. I feel that love has reached me as well. I can imagine how upset they must have been. I am really grateful for that. Their desire for their children to be well is huge."
Cha Ji-yeon expressed her feelings towards her in-laws, saying, "My in-laws are a big fence, a shield, my side. They are just my parents." Seo Jang-hoon commented, "From the parents' perspective, it might be unsatisfactory that only the daughter-in-law is working and the son is doing household chores. However, seeing the way they acknowledge the daughter-in-law is pleasant."
