Singer and producer Bumzu has won the Daesang at the 'KOMCA Copyright Awards' for the second consecutive year.
The Korea Music Copyright Association (hereafter referred to as KOMCA) announced on the 25th, "Bumzu, a music producer and singer-songwriter, won the Daesang in all areas of lyric writing, composition, and arrangement at the '11th KOMCA Copyright Awards' ceremony, making history by sweeping all categories for the first time ever."
Bumzu, who received the Daesang in the lyric writing and composition sector at this ceremony last year, added the arrangement sector this year to achieve top honors in all fields. KOMCA noted, "Bumzu has contributed to establishing the identity of K-pop."
Bumzu expressed gratitude, saying, "I thank everyone who loves K-pop. I respect all my colleagues, both junior and senior, who engage in creative work."
'KOMCA Copyright Awards' is the only copyright awards ceremony in the country. It honors lyricists, composers, and arrangers who received the most copyright fees in their respective fields over the past year.
Bumzu has worked on numerous representative songs of artists under Pledis Entertainment and has led trends in pop music. Particularly, he, along with Woozi, has produced most of Seventeen's music and has been recognized for his exceptional musical capabilities, winning the 'Best Producer' award at the '9th Asia Artist Awards (AAA 2024)' last year. /seon@osesn.co.kr
