Singer Gummy revealed her confession story with actor Jo Jung-seok.

That day, Jang Seong-kyu asked, while having a meal together, "If Yeo-won resembles her sister and brother, do you have any plans to let her pursue this career if she wants to?" regarding Jo Jung-seok and Gummy's daughter.
To this, Gummy said, "Honestly, I hope she doesn't. Both of us. But we can't say we want to do something and not do it, and if we do, we have to let her."
Also, when he asked, "How did you meet?" recalling their love story, Gummy said, "I have a friend named Young-ji, who was in Bubble Sisters. Young-ji asked (Jo Jung-seok) to be the main character in her music video. She wanted to push him, so she called him and said, 'Oppa, where are you? Can we meet?' He replied that he couldn't, which was disappointing. But before that, he mentioned he was a fan of mine while doing a musical. Thinking of that, she sold me out and talked about me. I wasn't with her at the time, but I rushed out after receiving a sudden call."
She continued, "So we got to know each other, and from the start, there were no romantic feelings at all. This person is a type of man I totally didn't know. He doesn't seem like a bad guy, but sometimes I see that he doesn't keep in touch with me consistently. So while the contact kept coming, I first said, 'I feel this way, but I think we should define it as a close brother-sister relationship.' However, at that time, he actually wanted to meet." She revealed that it was then she received the confession.
Gummy added, "There was a reason; he had a goal of his own. Before he reached a certain point, he said he wouldn't date a woman. He said it was tough for him too."
Meanwhile, Gummy and Jo Jung-seok married in 2018 and welcomed their daughter Yeo-won in 2020.
