On the 27th (Thursday), the MBC program "Save Me! Homes" (directed by Jung Da-hee, Kim Mun-seop, So In-ji, Heo Ja-yoon, Kim Wan-cheol; hereafter referred to as "Homes") will feature a special episode on college students' shared housing as the new semester begins.
This episode will explore Gwanak-gu, known as the holy land of shared housing, for the new semester special. During this segment, actors Kim Shin-rok, Yang Se-hyung, and Yang Se-chan, alumni of Seoul National University, will embark on this journey to the top prestigious university in Korea, Seoul National University, imbued with the spirit of Gwanaksan.
Before the major exploration begins, Kim Shin-rok, who appeared in the studio, noted, "I have come to explore MBC variety shows. I am actor Kim Shin-rok." The KODI members expressed their admiration towards Kim Shin-rok, saying, "I have been looking forward to meeting you." and "I really enjoyed the drama 'The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate' and 'Hell'.
While introducing Kim Shin-rok, Park Na-rae mentioned, "I went to university for the third time," to which Kim Shin-rok responded that after graduating from Seoul National University with a degree in geography, he entered Hanyang University for a graduate program in theater and film and the Korean National University of Arts' Theater School. When Yang Se-hyung shared, "I also attended three different schools in elementary, middle, and high school," he replied, "I have been to schools for over 20 years, even attending kindergarten." This surprised everyone.
When asked if Kim Shin-rok had any tips for memorizing rapid-fire lines in dramas, he responded, "I tend to memorize using my body. I also memorize the actions along with the script," and added, "Studying in a living room or cafe with a bit of noise works better for me than in a study or quiet room."
Currently appearing in the MBC Friday-Saturday drama "Undercover High School," Kim Shin-rok shows his deep affection for the new drama. When asked about the viewership ratings pledge, Kim Shin-rok said, "If it exceeds 10%, I will try to appear on 'Homes' with actor Seo Kang-joon," which reportedly drew loud cheers from Park Na-rae and Kim Sook.
Kim Shin-rok holds the opening in front of the Seoul National University main gate, with the so-called "Sha" sculpture visible alongside Yang Se-hyung and Yang Se-chan. Yang Se-chan expresses his gratitude, saying, "It's such an honor. If I've advanced from Dongducheon to 'Sha', that's a success." Yang Se-hyung also shares, "Even if you combine my and Yang Se-chan's scores on the CSAT, we couldn't get in here. A four-year university would also be tough. My CSAT score was 88 out of 400 points."
With Yang Se-hyung's sudden confession of his CSAT score, the studio buzzed as the KODI members revealed their scores. Park Na-rae admitted she scored 160, while Joo Woo-jae noted, "I scored 420 out of 500," drawing attention.
