On the 25th, during the live broadcast of MBN's 'Current King of Masked Singers 2,' the finals' second round aired, where Park Seo-jin, designated number 3, drew attention by performing his signature janggu.
That day, Park Seo-jin visited Cheongnyongsa Temple in Sacheon ahead of the finals. He noted, "I often came here since I was a child, so it puts my mind at ease. It is also the place where my younger brother performed his 49th-day ritual. When I come here, it feels like my brother is welcoming me."
Praying for a good result on the final stage of 'Current King of Masked Singers 2,' Park Seo-jin later mentioned in an interview with the production team, "A senior asked me, 'Why are you playing the janggu?' They said, 'Why lower your dignity as a singer?' and told me to quit immediately," sharing his disappointment.
He continued, "They ask why I do things like a gagman," and added, "Back then, I was really upset, but now I think that I am who I am today because of that time. I am not ashamed at all to play the janggu."
Park Seo-jin's following performance began with Im Mi-ri's 'Heungtaryeong,' where he stated, "I will do what I do best on the final stage," preparing his janggu, which made the celebrity judges respond, "He brought out his secret weapon," with anticipation.
Meanwhile, considering that text voting was currently in progress through the live broadcast, Park Seo-jin listened to the highest and lowest scores he received from the celebrity judges. He received a highest score of 98 and a lowest score of 80 from them.
