Actress Jeon Jong-seo has spoken out about the controversial leggings first pitch fashion after a year.
On the 24th, a video titled "The fashion history of actress Jeon Jong-seo, who looks beautiful in anything! What was the hype about fashion, its behind the scenes? Fashion timeline" was posted on the YouTube channel of Harper's Bazaar magazine.
In the video, Jeon Jong-seo referred to the leggings first pitch fashion that became a topic of discussion in March of last year. Jeon noted, "I personally wanted to pitch and challenged myself with the hope that I would not become such a topic like this."
She continued, "I practiced pitching very hard. I did it in a learned state." When asked if she usually exercises, she replied, "I used to exercise every day, but the filming I'm doing now is physically demanding, so I haven't been able to exercise for the first time."
Earlier, Jeon Jong-seo took the mound as the first pitcher at the 2024 Major League Baseball (MLB) World Tour Seoul Series game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Kiwoom Heroes held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul last March.
On that day, Jeon wore a crop-fit LA Dodgers uniform top reformed with khaki leggings while taking the mound to pitch. Wearing a form-fitting outfit, she flaunted her toned physique, drawing admiration. The broadcast also captured players from the Los Angeles Dodgers watching Jeon pitch.
Jeon Jong-seo's pitch was reported by overseas media outlets, including those in the United States and Japan. Japanese media outlet Chunichi Sports described it as "a sexy and cute pitch," stating that "it became a hot topic online in Japan," while the American media platform SportsKida praised it as "a flawless pitch."
However, there were suspicions that she might have used padding (hip pads) due to the contrast between her slender waistline and developed hip line. Nevertheless, in a photo from an event in September of last year, she certified herself as a "genuine" goddess of hips, cultivated through natural efforts without artificial procedures.
At that time, Jeon, who attended a fashion show in Paris, showcased a fashion matching a white off-shoulder outfit with noticeable lace decoration and a low-rise skirt. The fashion became a topic of discussion because of the surrounding "hip suspicions" regarding Jeon.
Jeon Jong-seo has often worn outfits that highlight her figure, but some have raised suspicions that her hips are different from before, suggesting that she wore hip pads or had fillers.
Seemingly conscious of this, Jeon stood at the fashion show in fashion highlighting her hips. From her slender waist to her hip line, she boasted a figure reminiscent of a Coca-Cola bottle, successfully dispelling the surrounding suspicions.
Regarding this, Jeon Jong-seo did not directly express her feelings, but she showed an unexpected response, saying she did not think it would become a hot topic again after a year.
