Magazine 'Singles' has revealed couple photos of Lee Sun-bin and Kang Tae-oh. In the released photos, Lee Sun-bin and Kang Tae-oh are facing each other with their faces close together, looking at the camera and smiling brightly, evoking excitement.

'Potato Research Institute' depicts a healing comic romance where the cold principled 'Baek-ho' (Kang Tae-oh) appears before 'Mi-gyeong' (Lee Sun-bin), for whom potatoes are everything, swirling around like a whirlpool potato.

Lee Sun-bin will take on the role of 'Mi-gyeong,' a member of the Potato Research Institute, demonstrating her accumulated acting skills. She noted, "This drama captures events that take place in the unusual setting of 'Potato Research Institute,' so I think I can showcase my well-received acting in a fresh way. I believe it's the optimal genre to display both romance and comedy."

Continuing, Lee Sun-bin described the character 'Mi-gyeong' as "an lovable person who cannot be hated," adding, "All the characters in our drama are likable, including Baek-ho. Mi-gyeong is the one who maintains balance among them. Although not the oldest in the research institute, she earns trust, is passionate, and realistic. Her empathy will be at 200% with an F preference."

Kang Tae-oh, who recently completed shooting his first couple photoshoots, said, "In the early stages of shooting, I was nervous and a bit awkward, but I thought that being with Sun-bin would allow ideas to flow naturally, like during our drama shoots, so I trusted that it would work out."

Kang Tae-oh, who plays the cold principled 'Baek-ho,' hinted at a chilly yet warm charm, saying, "Baek-ho appears to be cold and rational at first glance, but I believe he has warmth within. Regardless of what others say."

Kang Tae-oh also revealed that the chemistry with the actors in this drama was very good, stating, "Although action scenes are not typical of drama, there were many scenes involving physical actions. In the early parts, I expressed exaggerated gestures in a fantastical way in cooking-related scenes, and I felt that the chemistry among the actors was perfectly aligned, thanks to thorough rehearsals and seamless interaction."

Kang Tae-oh mentioned that the drama has increased his affection for potatoes. He shared, "Before, I would have just passed by, but now I feel delighted just seeing the word 'potato.' Recently, there was a corner at the airport selling potatoes, and I took a picture out of pure joy. Kim Ji-a, who appeared together, made me a potato-shaped keyring as a gift," he said with a laugh, sharing the episode.

When asked about the highlights of Potato Research Institute, Kang Tae-oh replied, "There are various characters, including the staff of the research institute and farmers, and I hope viewers will appreciate the charm of these unique characters. They are not unlikable at all. Also, it will be interesting to see how Baek-ho and Mi-gyeong influence each other and undergo changes."

Meanwhile, tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama 'Potato Research Institute' is set to premiere on March 1 at 9:20 p.m.
