In 'Good Day,' all the members of 88 Nations gathered in one place. Starting with GD, the lineup was created with unique combinations featuring Kim Soo-hyun, Jung Hae-in, Im Si-wan, Lee Soo-hyuk, and Kwang-hee.
On the 23rd, all project members officially gathered in MBC’s entertainment program 'Good Day.'
Ahead of the project, G-Dragon responded, "When looking back on the year, I want to meet the individuals who were at the center of the public’s interest and attention," and when asked about the current state of music production, he said, "Since it's a group song, it's not easy to manage. I want to create a song that can span generations," adding, "I am contemplating the message I want to convey, as I feel there might be something I don't know."
Amid this, it became the day when the members officially gathered. Defconn and Kookoon remarked, "We have come to 88 Nations. Can this be possible?" while mentioning today’s amazing lineup of 88z. Earlier, while G-Dragon was talking with Kim Soo-hyun, Kwang-hee, Jung Hae-in, Im Si-wan, and Lee Soo-hyuk were mentioned. It became a friendship recruitment for the 88 solos. G-Dragon also commented, "I wonder why it has become so big," and said, "The concept of 'I Am Solo' is indeed true solo."
First, Kwang-hee arrived, being the original GD fan who was the first to show up. Actor Jung Hae-in followed, greeting shyly. Then, their mutual friend Im Si-wan arrived, and Kim Soo-hyun came next. Lee Soo-hyuk, known as G-Dragon's close friend, arrived, and finally G-Dragon appeared. They all expressed astonishment, saying, "Wow, we can fit everyone on one screen."
Since it's officially the 'I Am Solo' concept, they chose names. G-Dragon became Yeong-cheol, Kim Soo-hyun was named Yeong-soo, Im Si-wan became Yeong-ja, Lee Soo-hyuk was named Yeong-ho, Jung Hae-in became Ok-soon, and Kwang-hee was named Kwang-soo.
Each person introduced themselves one by one. After Im Si-wan, it was Kwang-hee, Lee Soo-hyuk, followed by G-Dragon, and then Jung Hae-in, with Kim Soo-hyun introducing himself last. Kim Soo-hyun said, "This situation feels unreal. I couldn't imagine it at all as I am quite a closed-off person." He continued, "If it weren't 2024, I probably wouldn't have readily said 'yes.' This year, I have changed a lot in terms of personality; I am getting older. Soon I’ll be like 'The Man from Nowhere,'" making everyone laugh.
The other 88 friends also agreed. Kim Soo-hyun noted, "Thanks to my changed personality, I am honored to participate in this project." Im Si-wan also mentioned, "I was originally an introvert, and my personality has changed a lot. Now we are all like 'The Man from Nowhere,' and I have to hide my 'ajumma' charm diligently."
They decided to vote for their favorite friend. G-Dragon was the first to say, "Let's drop the formalities," to which everyone agreed, commenting, "It's truly great that we're all together like this. It’s not easy to coordinate six people’s schedules, so I appreciate everyone being here." Im Si-wan expressed curiosity about how this combination was formed, stating, "At this age, it’s hard to make friends. Even if we want to connect, it's not easy to approach each other, so this opportunity is really good."
Naturally, Kim Soo-hyun received Kwang-hee's contact information and suggested, "If we become a couple, let's share our addresses," lightening the mood. Under Kim Soo-hyun's lead, the 88 members also exchanged numbers. Meanwhile, in the preview, there was a dining mission that had to be coordinated. The members rallied, shouting, "88 Nations, great nations," energizing each other.
