On this day, the couple Chaerina and Park Yong-geun appeared, celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary, but noted that they hadn't held a wedding ceremony. They had previously been involved in the 'Gangnam knife attack incident.'
In October 2012, singer Chaerina and former baseball player Park Yong-geun were at a bar in Gangnam, Seoul, with acquaintances when they got into an altercation with a drunken patron. The drunkard swung a knife, saying, 'It's so noisy,' and Park Yong-geun fell critically injured, having 44% of his liver removed. Particularly, the ex-wife of Cool's Kim Sung-soo was also present, having introduced Chaerina and Park Yong-geun to each other. Unfortunately, the incident resulted in a death, shocking everyone.
Chaerina said, 'When Yong-geun was taken by ambulance to the hospital, his diagnosis was 99% mortality' and cautiously began to discuss. Park Yong-geun noted, 'It was a huge accident; everyone involved had a tough time.' When asked about the trauma from the incident, Park Yong-geun explained, 'At first, there was trauma. Now, time has passed,' adding, 'I don't like crowded places or open spaces after the incident.'
This is because, miraculously, while Park Yong-geun survived the successful surgery, there was a victim who lost their life. Chaerina said, 'I was a victim, but luckily I survived,' adding, 'There are other victims who carry pain, so we should live quietly and not stand out. For some, it may be a memory they don't want to recall, and I worry about bringing it back...' explaining the reasons they couldn't hold a wedding ceremony at that time.
In particular, on this day, Chaerina expressed, 'Now, I want to experience a wedding ceremony that I have never had,' sharing with the production team the reason she decided to have a ceremony on their 10th anniversary. When asked about the regret regarding the wedding, both stated, 'We discussed holding a reminder wedding for our 10th anniversary,' conveying their long-held thoughts about the ceremony and regarding their first wedding in 10 years remarked, 'We don't have a detailed concept; I just want to experience a wedding we haven't had.'
When asked about any other plans, Chaerina responded, 'I have faced a series of failures, but I think of this as my last chance and am determined to challenge myself again,' saying, 'I plan to try in vitro fertilization once more this year since we will hold a wedding ceremony, and since we have frozen eggs at the hospital, I will attempt in vitro fertilization.' Her mother also expressed her joy, saying, 'I'm so grateful,' and added, 'I was happy when I gave birth to you,' showing her sincere hope that her daughter would not be lonely.
