Actress Lee Ji-ah's agency expressed a cautious stance regarding a jewelry brand event.

A representative from Lee Ji-ah's agency, BH Entertainment, said on the 24th to OSEN, "Actress Lee Ji-ah will attend the jewelry brand event scheduled for this evening (24th) as planned."

The representative explained, "Photo sessions and other activities inside the event venue will proceed as scheduled. However, the external photo wall will not be attended due to personal circumstances."

Lee Ji-ah was scheduled to attend a global jewelry brand event at a hotel in Seoul that evening. This event attracted attention in the entertainment industry, as it was expected that besides Lee Ji-ah, BIGBANG's G-Dragon, actors Ma Dong-seok and Geum Sae-rok, GOT7's BamBam, MAMAMOO's Hwasa, and (G)I-DLE's Jeon So-yeon would also attend.

However, it was reported that Lee Ji-ah's name was removed from the photo wall lineup that morning. In this regard, some have raised suspicions that Lee Ji-ah may have felt burdened by her grandfather's pro-Japanese actions and the legal disputes among her father and siblings.

On the 21st, it was reported that Lee Ji-ah's grandfather, Kim Soon-heung, was listed as a target for purging by the provisional government. Additionally, it was revealed that Kim left a land inheritance valued at approximately 35 billion won, leading to legal disputes between Lee Ji-ah's father and his siblings, as well as allegations of forgery of private documents, creating shock.

In connection with this, Lee Ji-ah expressed through her agency after careful consideration, "Since I became independent at the age of 18, I have not received any financial support from my parents. It is embarrassing, but due to a complicated family background, I have been estranged from my parents for over 10 years," adding, "I have no memory of my grandfather, who passed away when I was 2, and I first learned about the facts through an article in 2011 and studied it. If the land at the center of the controversy was acquired during the Japanese colonial period, it must be returned to the nation."
