A record-breaking Chinese dish has been completed on an uninhabited island.
On the 24th, MBC's 'It's a Relief to Rest' featured Kim Dae-ho, Lee Yeon-bok, Myung Se-bin, and Yang Se-hyung preparing a record-breaking Chinese course meal on an uninhabited island.
Kim Dae-ho, Lee Yeon-bok, Myung Se-bin, and Yang Se-hyung planned a Chinese restaurant on the uninhabited island and prepared Chinese dishes for guests using oysters, conchs, small octopus, and bolak that they caught themselves.
Lee Yeon-bok prepared a batter with egg whites, starch, and vegetable oil to make bolak sweet and sour fish. As it grew dark, the boat carrying the guests departed.
As Lee Yeon-bok looked at the fried sweet and sour fish, Kim Dae-ho noted, "It smells so good." The members could not hide their admiration after tasting the freshly fried bolak sweet and sour fish. Everyone reacted in disbelief that such a dish could be made on an uninhabited island.
At that moment, the boat carrying the guests approached the uninhabited island, and Yang Se-hyung and Kim Dae-ho went to welcome them. Kim Dae-ho said, "Today, you can choose between jjambong, jjajang, and fried rice." The guests excitedly chose from the menu.
Before the jjambong, jjajang, and fried rice were served, bolak sweet and sour fish was prepared. An Jung-hwan, seeing the bolak sweet and sour fish, said, "Just eating the fried food would be delicious," expressing envy. Lee Yeon-bok completed the sweet and sour sauce with ketchup, water, vinegar, and various vegetables, catching everyone's attention.
The pickled radish made from gardenia water that was prepared during the day was perfectly made, and Lee Yeon-bok preserved the classic flavor with onions and black bean paste.
Upon seeing the bolak sweet and sour fish, the guests couldn't hide their amazement. Lee Yeon-bok explained, "I deep-fried an entire fish and also deep-fried just the fish meat beside it." The guests scraped up all the seasoning and enjoyed their meal.
Lee Yeon-bok attracted attention by stating that he would prepare jjambong, jjajang, and fried rice all at once using a three-burner stove. He quickly completed all three dishes by adding the small octopus and oysters caught that day.
