Actor Park Hae-mi had two sons from different fathers. One son was from her ex-husband before remarrying Hwang Min, whom she divorced due to a drunken incident.
On the broadcast of MBC Every1 and MBN's 'You Are All Grown Up but Not Going Out' on 22nd, a scene was shown where Park Hae-mi and her son Hwang Seong-jae are holding a housewarming party. Another Namsung was spotted at Park Hae-mi's house besides Hwang Seong-jae, and Hwang Seong-jae introduced him as 'my older brother.' Currently, the older brother, who has a cute four-year-old son and has separated, showed sweetness and charm to Park Hae-mi, unlike Hwang Seong-jae.
However, everyone was puzzled by Hwang Seong-jae's statement, 'I first saw my older brother in elementary school.' It turned out that he was a half-brother. Hwang Seong-jae recalled, 'I thought I was an only child, but suddenly I got an older brother.' He added, 'There is an 11-year age difference between us. I leaned on him a lot and share all my worries.' Lim Seong-min said, 'My aunt and grandmother raised me. After becoming an adult, I started living with Seong-jae.'
Hwang Seong-jae poured out praises about his half-brother, saying he is good-looking, can sing, play the piano, and even play well. Additionally, he mentioned that his brother attends Seoul National University on a full scholarship and excels in studies. MC Hong Jin-kyung also acknowledged him as 'a cheat character.'
Park Hae-mi was reportedly raped by her ex-husband while in college and married him, but suffered from jealousy and domestic violence before divorcing in 1994. The following year, she remarried concert planner Hwang Min. However, they divorced in 2019 after 25 years. Park Hae-mi has a son with each of them.
Hwang Min was involved in a fatal drunk driving accident in 2018, tragically causing the deaths of two of Park Hae-mi's students who were passengers. Upon hearing the news of the accident, Park Hae-mi was unable to contain her shock and actively took steps to apologize deeply to the bereaved families and promised moral responsibility. Ultimately, the couple divorced in May 2019, and Park Hae-mi temporarily halted her activities. Hwang Min was sentenced to three years and six months in prison and was released in April 2022.
On that day's broadcast, Park Hae-mi expressed her concerns about her younger son Hwang Seong-jae while talking with her elder son Lim Seong-min. Looking at Hwang Seong-jae, Park Hae-mi coldly assessed, 'There are many children who sing like this. I'm worried because he is an actor.' She added, 'He can take it easy because I'm Park Hae-mi, but he knows too little about the world. If he were not my son, it wouldn't have happened this way.'
Lim Seong-min suggested ways for his mother Park Hae-mi to have a good conversation with his younger brother Hwang Seong-jae. Park Hae-mi told the production team in an interview, 'My son pretends to be independent, but in my eyes, he is a weak friend. So I worry a lot. I'm still pondering over it.'
Park Hae-mi told her son Lim Seong-min, 'It seems that what I do to my mother is happening directly to Seong-jae.' However, Hwang Seong-jae quickly returned to his place. Park Hae-mi said, 'Honestly, I'm very lonely,' and remarked, 'I wish my children could be together. If they could just help me a little, it feels like I could spread my wings, but spreading those wings is too hard.'
Park Hae-mi said, 'You don't have to follow me; it's your life.' She also mentioned, 'There were times I felt anxious while running my business. I wished someone would support me, and Seong-jae did catch me. When I slammed the brakes suddenly, I felt it drop in my heart.' Park Hae-mi expressed, 'Because I love you both, I have endured. It's upsetting, but I don't regret it.'
