The group ENHYPEN confirmed its status as a ‘K-pop top-tier group’ by receiving its first Daesang.

ENHYPEN (JUNGWON, HEESUNG, JAY, JAKE, SUNGHOON, SUNWOO, NIKI) won the ‘D Awards Black Label Album of the Year,’ one of the Daesang awards, at the ‘1st D Awards’ held at Korea University Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul on the 22nd with their second album ‘ROMANCE: UNTOLD.’ Furthermore, ENHYPEN claimed a total of five trophies, including the main awards ‘D Awards Delight Blue Label,’ ‘Best Tour,’ ‘Best Group,’ and ‘Yupik Popularity Award Best Male Group,’ making them the most awarded artist at this ceremony.

ENHYPEN expressed, “We are grateful to receive such a significant award thanks to ENGENE (the fandom name). We have always tried to bring you good music, and it feels rewarding, so I think we can work even harder this year.” They added, “We are creating better works for ENGENE,” and noted, “We have many exciting things prepared for this year. We will return with an even more amazing stage, so please look forward to it.”

On that day, ENHYPEN showcased a high-quality performance befitting the title of ‘performance powerhouse’ to conclude the ceremony. They exuded overwhelming charisma with the hip track ‘Daydream’ and drew attention with a mature performance in ‘No Doubt.’ Additionally, they completed a captivating stage with powerful vocals and high notes in ‘Scream,’ heating up the venue.

Last year, ENHYPEN recorded total album sales of over 5.45 million copies, including 2.97 million copies of their second album and 1.49 million copies of the repackage of that album. Notably, they ranked 2nd and 4th, respectively, on the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) ‘2024 Global Album Sales Chart’ and ‘2024 Global Album Chart,’ achieving the highest rankings among K-pop artists.
