Group Infinite member and singer Kim Sung-kyu has experienced the loss of a sibling.

On the 22nd, the agency Billions stated, "We have very heartbreaking and sorrowful news to convey," adding, "Kim Sung-kyu's biological sister passed away this morning (22nd) after battling illness."

The agency noted, "According to the wishes of the bereaved family, the funeral will be privately held with only family and friends in attendance," and asked for consideration and comfort so that Kim Sung-kyu and the bereaved family can spend time in mourning together.

Previously, on the 21st, Kim Sung-kyu completed the departure procedures for Malaysia in accordance with Infinite's tour schedule; however, he announced that he would be unable to attend the performance due to unavoidable circumstances. The other members, excluding Sung-kyu, departed and continued with the scheduled performance.

The news of the sibling's passing has evoked sorrow from many just a day after the announcement of the absence from the performance. Infinite also announced on their official SNS on the day of the news that all content uploads, including promotions for the upcoming Infinite mini album 'LIKE INFINITE,' will be temporarily halted.

Additionally, Infinite Company expressed, "We will provide further guidance on the upload schedule in due course and ask for the understanding of the fans. We sincerely extend our condolences upon hearing the sad news and wish for the peaceful rest of the deceased."

Meanwhile, Infinite, to which Sung-kyu belongs, after opening the 15th anniversary concert 'Limited Edition' in Seoul last December, continued performances in Taipei, Macao, Jakarta, Singapore, Yokohama, Japan, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. A tour is also scheduled for Hong Kong on March 1.

The mini album 'LIKE INFINITE' is set to be released on March 6, and the encore performance of Infinite's 15th anniversary concert 'Limited Edition' will be held on April 12 and 13 at Inspire Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon.
