Recently, comedian Kim Shin-young, who was embroiled in the controversy regarding the group PLAVE, confessed that she received complaints from her elementary school-aged niece because of it.

On the 23rd, while discussing the music charts of singers on MBC Radio's 'The Hope Song at Noon with Kim Shin-young', Kim Shin-young and Haeng-joo talked about PLAVE.

Haeng-joo praised, "The members write lyrics, compose, and choreograph, and the balance is very good." In response, Kim Shin-young said, "They do the songs they want to do. I’ve been memorizing their songs lately."

She continued, "My elementary school niece is teaching me a lot. Regardless of age, even my niece should learn if there’s something to learn. They are 'PLSEN' PLAVE teachers."

Kim Shin-young noted, "My niece seemed upset. She told me to learn from her. When I said I would learn, she said she would teach me like a top instructor," and afterward, she selected PLAVE's 'Dash.'

Earlier, on the 16th, while co-hosting 'The Hope Song' with Haeng-joo, Kim Shin-young selected PLAVE's 'Dash' and mentioned that Koh Young Technology's vocalist Ko Young-bae had taken a picture with PLAVE, saying, "It makes me feel king," and expressed, "Isn't it something we can't actually see?" and "I still find it hard to accept."

PLAVE is a five-member boy group that debuted on March 12, 2023. They are particularly known as a virtual idol group created to build a new world to achieve their dreams, existing as a popular idol group in a virtual rather than a real world.

Following Kim Shin-young's remarks, PLAVE fans expressed criticism primarily on social media and online communities. They filed complaints against Kim Shin-young by requesting PLAVE's songs on the viewer bulletin board of 'The Hope Song,' demanding an apology and her resignation.

Ultimately, Kim Shin-young apologized on the following day, the 17th, stating, "I talked about PLAVE yesterday, and as you said, I failed to read the flow of the times." She continued, "PLAVE has been working hard until now, and I think it is correct to say that I was rude beyond ignorance. I was very rude."

She also emphasized, "The fans who support them should have had a good weekend, but I truly feel the weight and responsibility of my words. I apologize once again with my head bowed, and I will study hard to prevent this from happening again. I will study and learn a lot. The reason I actually call the listeners 'Teacher Jung-hee' is that I sometimes find myself ignorant or crossing the line. I hope you will speak to me sternly."
