In the 18th episode of the reality street food documentary 'The Jeon Hyun-moo Project 2' (co-produced by MBN and Channel S), actress Kim Sung-ryeong grants as 'eating friend' appeared.
Jeon Hyun-moo, Gwak Tube, and Kim Sung-ryeong visited Chuncheon. After tasting the dongchimi makguksu, the three headed to a nurungji restaurant introduced by Kim Sung-ryeong. Gwak Tube and Jeon Hyun-moo showed a startled reaction to the realistic appearance of the pub. The store is filled with signatures of stars like Song Joong-ki, Ko Kyung-pyo, Ryu Kyung-soo, and On Joo-wan.
Kim Sung-ryeong noted that she gained immense popularity after winning the Miss Korea 'Jin' title. She said, "I basically did everything in broadcasting. I did a lot of MCing more than I thought. My very first debut was as an MC of 'Entertainment Tonight' with Yoon Hyung-joo. Then I ended up doing 'Who Saw the Dragon's Claw' directed by Kang Woo-suk" and mentioned that she landed the lead role in her debut work.
Kim Sung-ryeong added, "The funnier thing is, I couldn't do movies for 16 years after that. I rejected everything that came in after that. So they stopped coming. I underestimated acting. I thought, 'I'm a bit tired. Let's not do it.'"
Kim Sung-ryeong evoked surprise with her ageless appearance. She said, "My son is 25 this year," to which Jeon Hyun-moo remarked, "People who don't know think you are siblings." Kim Sung-ryeong revealed her son's job, saying, "He is a ski instructor at a ski resort."
