Yoo Jae-suk of 'Hangout with Yoo' expressed his fandom for Matsushige Yutaka of 'The Lonely Gourmet.'
On the 22nd, the MBC program 'Hangout with Yoo?' featured a scene with Shim Eun-kyung, Yoo Jae-suk, and Lee Yi-kyung eating guamegi with Matsushige Yutaka from 'The Lonely Gourmet.'
That day, Yoo Jae-suk went to a guamegi restaurant at the suggestion of Shim Eun-kyung, where he met Matsushige Yutaka waiting there. After greeting him warmly, Yoo Jae-suk expressed his surprise by saying, "Oh, Matsushige Yutaka... Goro-san!"
Yoo Jae-suk said, "I'm so glad to meet you. I'm really such a big fan. 'The Lonely Gourmet' is..." and continuously showed his enthusiasm as a fan. He asked, "You said you wanted to eat guamegi, so we came here," adding, "You haven't tried it before, right?" Matsushige replied, "I've never even heard of guamegi, and the pronunciation is difficult."
Lee Yi-kyung suggested, "You can think of it as traditional Korean jelly," but Shim Eun-kyung shook her head, saying, "It's not jelly." Soon, guamegi was served, and Shim Eun-kyung demonstrated how to wrap it. Yoo Jae-suk expressed, "It's such an honor to see Matsushige-san eat this," adding, "Even though this is our first meeting, I feel a deep connection. I really watched the episode where you had cheonggukjang about a week ago. After watching that, I ordered cheonggukjang for myself."
Matsushige, after eating guamegi, remarked, "It was so delicious that I wanted to make it at home," and added, "It doesn't taste fishy at all. It's delicious." Yoo Jae-suk said, "I'm eating guamegi with Matsushige-san," and Lee Yi-kyung mentioned, "It feels like a scene from 'The Lonely Gourmet.'"
Matsushige then asked, "Do people also eat this with alcohol?" and Yoo Jae-suk responded, "Sometimes. I heard that Matsushige-san really likes makgeolli." Matsushige expressed his regret, saying, "When I came to Korea before, the fresh makgeolli was so delicious. It was so good, but I heard I can't bring it to Japan. That's a bit unfortunate."
In particular, while having a meal, Yoo Jae-suk pointed out, "I don't know if this is a weird thing to say, but you resemble me a bit, Matsushige-san." Matsushige asked, "You mean in reference to the glasses?" and Yoo Jae-suk responded, "Not just the glasses; there's a similar vibe, don't you think?"
Then, Matsushige said, "We should do something together," and Yoo Jae-suk suggested, "How about 'The Lonely Gourmet, The Lonely Picky Eater'?" which brought laughter.
