MONSTA X's Kihyun, known for his talent, spent a special time with fans right after his military discharge.
On the 21st, Kihyun held a live celebration on the official MONSTA X YouTube channel and met with MONBEBE (the official fan club).
On this day, having completed his service, Kihyun appeared in military uniform, showcasing his handsome looks and eliciting cheers from fans. Kihyun, who boldly reported on his discharge and announced his return, immediately checked the real-time chat window and shared greetings with the MONBEBE he had missed.
As communication with MONBEBE continued, Kihyun's witty remarks became a topic of discussion. In response to fans calling him 'Muscle Man' and 'Captain Korea,' Kihyun noted, "I cannot claim to be Captain Korea. Unfortunately, I couldn't become Captain Korea, but I have gained more muscle mass than before," and responses to fans asking for "evidence" included, "What more evidence do you want? You can tell just by looking!" which drew laughter.
After making a wish on his discharge celebration cake, Kihyun took time to reflect on the 'KIKITRIP' series, which features content from his military service. Sharing colorful stories related to a total of 17 episodes, Kihyun said, "I split my time to take many pictures back then, and seeing the chat makes me very proud. I will continue to work hard to show you various aspects of myself in the future." He also expressed, "Many people have become fans since I enlisted. Although you may feel it's late in your heart, we have no interruptions going forward. We just need to keep moving forward. So don't worry too much."
In addition, he shared responses to various keyword-related questions such as 'chicken' mukbang, 'songs,' 'members,' and 'MONBEBE.' When asked, 'How did you feel last night?' he replied, "There is a big road in front of the unit and so many cars, so I was busy thinking about how to guide the MONBEBE who came on my discharge day for safety. Before going to sleep, I was worried about someone getting hurt while coming to see me discharge, but I was very happy it ended well, and I appreciate that MONBEBE followed along well."
At the end of the broadcast, a challenge time that Kihyun prepared for MONBEBE was unfolded. Kihyun showcased his charm while performing various challenges, including the 'I LOVE YOU TODAY' challenge by the group Boynextdoor, making numerous fans smile until the very end.
After wrapping up about an hour of live streaming, Kihyun expressed, "It seems like an hour went by quickly connecting with MONBEBE after a long time. I am very grateful for you waiting for me, keeping your hearts during such a lengthy time. I worked hard and completed my military service without causing trouble, so I think you can boast about it anywhere!"

Meanwhile, Kihyun entered the training center on Aug. 22, 2023, underwent basic military training, served faithfully as an active-duty soldier, and was discharged on the 21st. On March 8, he plans to hold a free fan event 'TRIP TO KIKITOWN!' at the Myunghwa Live Hall in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, where he will meet fans closely.
