Former comedian turned '10 billion won asset' investor Hwang Hyun-hee has been appointed as a visiting professor.
On the 21st, Catholic Kwandong University held a ceremony in the Convergence Room to award Hwang Hyun-hee the visiting professor appointment certificate for the admissions office.
Catholic Kwandong University was formerly known as Kwandong University before changing its name in 2014. Hwang Hyun-hee graduated from the law department of Kwandong University.
The university plans to assign Hwang Hyun-hee to conduct special lectures to enhance students' financial literacy. University President Kim Yong-seung noted, "I expect visiting professor Hwang Hyun-hee to communicate with students in a practical and interesting way, providing meaningful learning opportunities."
Hwang Hyun-hee, appointed as a visiting professor at his alma mater, stated, "I am honored to take on a new challenge in the field of education, and I will provide accessible financial education to create beneficial learning experiences for students."
Meanwhile, Hwang Hyun-hee, who gained recognition as a comedian in KBS's 19th open recruitment, later transformed into an investor. He surprised everyone by saying through a variety program, "I did comedy for 10 years and invested for 10 years. It’s 10 times more than when I was a comedian."
