Film director Hong Sang-soo appeared on the red carpet at the Berlin International Film Festival without his girlfriend and actress Kim Min-hee. Although Director Hong had a solo photo time, he indirectly referred to Kim Min-hee as a 'production manager'.
Director Hong Sang-soo attended the premiere and press conference of his new film 'Does that Nature Say to You' on the 20th (local time) in Berlin, Germany.
There was anticipation of seeing a shot of Director Hong Sang-soo and Kim Min-hee at this film festival. Particularly, as Kim Min-hee is known to be expecting a baby this spring, there was interest in whether she would accompany him. The couple headed to Germany through Incheon International Airport on the 19th. Kim Min-hee, whose face was covered with a mask, attracted attention with her protruding D-line due to pregnancy. Director Hong Sang-soo wore a black coat without covering his face, and the two moved without being conscious of those around them.
At the photo time before the press conference, Director Hong Sang-soo, along with actors Ha Sung-guk, Kwon Hae-hyo, Jo Yoon-hee, and Kang So-i, attended. Kim Min-hee did not attend the photo time or the press conference, leaving a sense of regret.
However, Director Hong Sang-soo mentioned Kim Min-hee indirectly. When a question about the film's budget arose, he said, "I don't calculate the budget separately. The necessary personnel for us to make the film are three production managers and four, including a boom mic operator." Kim Min-hee has actually served as the production manager for 'Does that Nature Say to You'.
Meanwhile, Director Hong Sang-soo and Kim Min-hee have maintained an extramarital affair for nearly 10 years since they became involved through the 2025 film 'Right Now, Wrong Then'. Kim Min-hee is expecting a baby this spring.
