'The Seasons - Lee Young-ji's Rainbow' showcased Lee Young-ji offering advice to Park Bo-gum, while 'Park Bo-gum's Cantabile' has been revealed. It is set to premiere on March 14.
Following the last broadcast of KBS2TV's 'The Seasons - Lee Young-ji's Rainbow' aired on the 21st, Park Bo-gum was announced as the next MC.
On this day, Lee Young-ji, who wrapped up a journey of about five months, personally set the stage. Lee Young-ji noted, "As the youngest and longest-serving MC, I met a total of 85 teams, and memorable moments include when I get to share my favorite music while meeting various guests."
In particular, after reading a memo asking the next season's MC to put on a show, Lee Young-ji humorously said about the next MC, "Please look after Mr. Park Bo-gum; you must practice 'Supernova.'" When asked to express her closing remarks in five characters, Lee Young-ji joked with phrases like 'Jealous of Park Bo-gum,' 'Let it fail except me,' and 'Only let me succeed.' She added, "Please give a big applause to Mr. Park Bo-gum for the next season."
In the meantime, the preview announced the next season under the title 'Park Bo-gum's Cantabile.'
'The Seasons' is a music talk show that introduced a unique format called 'annual project' as the first KBS late-night music program. Following 'Jay Park's Drive,' 'Choi Jung-hoon's Night Park,' 'AKMU's Onara,' 'Lee Hyori's Red Carpet,' and 'Zico's Artist,' it has entered its sixth season with 'Lee Young-ji's Rainbow.' The title 'Rainbow' for the sixth season signifies an intention to present a colorful array of stories and performances with musicians from various genres each week.
Recently, actor Park Bo-gum has been selected as Lee Young-ji's successor. Park Bo-gum occupies a notable position as the first actor to host 'The Seasons,' earning him the title of 'first actor MC,' which draws additional attention.
In an interview, Lee Young-ji expressed to Park Bo-gum, 'If you show your true self as an MC, the program will be colored by that. Jay Park, Choi Jung-hoon, AKMU, Lee Hyori, Zico, all have colored the show with their unique styles, and I did the same. It might be a burden, but I want to convey that you will also color the program in your own way, so please don't worry too much.'
Particularly, Lee Young-ji mentioned, 'If I were to give you genuine advice, please do not be flustered when the prompter occasionally goes off. If awkward or difficult situations arise, asking the audience to applaud will give you a lot of strength.'
Meanwhile, KBS2TV's 'Park Bo-gum's Cantabile' will premiere on Friday, March 14, at 10 p.m.
