'Kickkickkickkick' is perfectly unleashing the flavor of sitcoms.
In episodes 5 and 6 of KBS2's Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Kickkickkickkick' (written by Jeong Soo-hyun, Nam Eun-gyeong, Jeong Hae-young, directed by Koo Seung-jun), it dealt with the lives of extraordinary individuals, including Min-jae Lee's (Lee Min-jae) thrilling memory of almost writing a dark history in an elevator and the extreme labor-management conflict of Kickkickkickkick Company, making viewers laugh continuously.
In the 5th episode, laughter erupted from the story of Min-jae Lee, who fell victim to the schemes of Old In-seong (Jeong Han-seol) trying to play tricks on Ga-joo Ha (Jeon So-young). Min-jae sat down on the chair covered with a strong adhesive and ended up drinking suspicious coffee prepared for Ga-joo, leading to the troubling issue of a bathroom mishap.
Just as Min-jae Lee was about to rise at an unusual captain signal, he realized the ridiculous situation of his chair being stuck to him. In a hurry, he dragged the chair to the bathroom, only to find it was under repair. To make matters worse, the elevator he managed to catch to use a restroom on another floor also broke down, forcing him to endure an extreme waiting period.
Min-jae's situation was heightened by the music of Shinhwa's 'Wild Eyes,' adding the finishing touch to the laughter. The scene of Min-jae stuck to the chair in the elevator struggling at the captain signal harmonized perfectly with the beat, evoking the memory of Shinhwa's chair performance. The comedic direction that sublimated the extreme situation into laughter elevated the viewers' spirits.
Meanwhile, the episode in the 6th installment featuring the labor-management conflict of Kickkickkickkick Company, instigated by Jo Young-sik (Lee Gyu-hyung), provided non-stop fun. To assert control over the employees, Jo Young-sik placed Old In-seong as his right-hand man and regulated the employees' company life. They enforced stifling internal rules like three entries per day to the pantry and a strict 30-minute meal time, the tyrannical behaviors of the two kept raising smiles.
Eventually, Baek Ji-won (Baek Ji-won) raised claims of human rights violations, interrupting the oppressed company life, allowing both the management and labor representatives to finally face each other. After fierce negotiations and clashes, the negotiation table was opened, and freedom and peace returned to Kickkickkickkick Company, closing with a sequence that vividly showcased the unique fun points of depicting the labor-management conflict in a dramatic and extraordinary manner.
After the broadcast of episodes 5 and 6, various reactions continued in the community, including "A burglar with such discipline," "Min-jae Lee's actor seems to have burst out laughing," "Everyone seems to be going crazy," and "It's fun to see a lighthearted sitcom coming out after a long time."
Meanwhile, KBS2's Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Kickkickkickkick' will air its 7th episode starting on 26th, every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:50 p.m.
