At around 2 p.m. local time on the 20th, the press conference for the competition institutional sector entry film "What Does the Nature Say to You" was held at the 75th Berlin Film Festival in Berlin, Germany.
Earlier, on the 19th, Kim Min-hee was spotted departing for Germany with a round belly alongside Hong Sang-soo, drawing attention to whether the two would appear together in public. However, Kim Min-hee did not attend the press conference that day, while Hong Sang-soo was joined by actors Ha Sung-kook, Kwon Hae-hyo, Jo Yoon-hee, and Kang So-i.
Hong Sang-soo's 33rd feature film, "What Does the Nature Say to You," depicts the events that unfold when a poet in his thirties, Dong-hwa, accidentally visits his partner Jun-hee's house. Kim Min-hee participated as the Deputy Minister of Production for this film, contributing her efforts.
Although Kim Min-hee did not show up at the press conference that day, Director Hong mentioned Kim Min-hee's name, reflecting her presence. When a question about the film's budget arose, he noted, "I don't calculate the budget separately. The personnel we need to make the film are three production managers and four, including the boom operator," drawing attention for directly mentioning Kim Min-hee.
Kim Min-hee and Director Hong Sang-soo met as director and actor through the film "Right Now, Wrong Then" in 2015, fell in love, and have maintained an extramarital relationship for nearly 10 years.
Last month, rumors arose that Kim Min-hee is six months pregnant and is expected to give birth this spring. According to reports at the time, Kim Min-hee learned of her pregnancy last summer, and to mark the New Year, she received a regular check-up at an obstetrics clinic on the 15th of last month, with Director Hong Sang-soo accompanying her throughout the pregnancy confirmation and check-ups.
Later, Kim Min-hee, captured at the airport on the 19th, was seen wearing sunglasses and a black mask while dressed in a long coat, visibly hinting at her pregnancy as her belly was notably round.
Meanwhile, Director Hong Sang-soo has now been invited to the Berlin Film Festival for six consecutive years, following his previous films "The Woman Who Ran," "Introduction," "The Novelists' Film," "In the Water," and "The Traveler's Need," leading to a continued connection with this work.
