Actor Choi Seung-hyun (T.O.P), former member of the group Big Bang, recently denied rumors about his return to the group.
On the 11th, a representative for Choi Seung-hyun stated to a domestic entertainment media outlet, "The name 'T.O.P' on the social networking service (SNS) profile has not been changed or newly modified, but was recorded from the very beginning."
Prior to this, there had been ongoing speculation online that Choi Seung-hyun might be rejoining Big Bang under the stage name T.O.P, as 'TOP' was listed on T.O.P's SNS account and Big Bang's official YouTube account.
A representative for Choi Seung-hyun conveyed, "It is merely the maintenance of the existing stage name, and regarding Big Bang, T.O.P's stance remains unchanged from what was stated in a recent interview."
Choi Seung-hyun recently appeared in an interview for "Squid Game 2" and remarked, "I am not in contact with the members of Big Bang," adding, "I caused immense damage to the group and the former company due to my mistakes."
He emphasized, "I don't think I can return. I left with the intention of no longer causing trouble."
Choi Seung-hyun was sentenced to 10 months in prison and 2 years of probation for marijuana use in 2016. After leaving Big Bang and stepping away from the entertainment industry, he made his comeback by appearing in "Squid Game 2."
