Television personality Park Ji-yoon, who is in divorce proceedings with television personality Choi Dong-seok, has moved to dispose of an APT. registered in her name. The APT. is reportedly occupied by Choi Dong-seok's parents.
According to Star News on the 11th, Park Ji-yoon gifted the APT. in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, registered in her name, to Jay's Company, Inc. without compensation last December. Jay's Company is a firm established and operated by Park Ji-yoon.
The APT. was purchased in January 2020 by the couple, Choi Dong-seok and Park Ji-yoon, for the purpose of using it as a residence for Choi Dong-seok's parents. It is reported that Park Ji-yoon invested 230 million won and Choi Dong-seok invested 150 million won.
Earlier, Choi Dong-seok placed a provisional lien on the APT. in March of last year. In response, Park Ji-yoon applied for a release deposit to cancel the provisional lien in November of that year, and it is reported that the court accepted this, allowing her to gift the APT.
Park Ji-yoon is reported to plan to dispose of the APT. through Jay's Company to use for child support. If the APT. is sold, Choi Dong-seok's parents will have to vacate the home or sign a lease as tenants.
A legal representative for Park Ji-yoon noted, "Park Ji-yoon is experiencing financial difficulties while bearing the burden of child support alone due to the prolonged divorce proceedings."
Choi Dong-seok's stance is that he was unaware of Park Ji-yoon's gift of the APT. Choi Dong-seok's side stated, "I learned about the (transfer of ownership) after seeing the registration." Regarding child support, he added, "I tried to make payments to Park Ji-yoon several times, but she declined."
