Lee Roo, son of singer Tae Jin Ah, mourned the late Song Dae Kwan, who passed away suddenly, saying, 'It is so hopeless and heartbreaking.'
According to the entertainment industry on the 7th, Lee Roo referred to singer Song Dae Kwan as 'a beloved uncle who always treated me kindly and gently since I was a child' on his social networking service (SNS) that day.
He added, 'Seeing my father, who lost a lifelong friend and brother, unable to eat because of such great shock and busily making phone calls, breaks my heart.'
The deceased and Tae Jin Ah were known as close friends in the music industry, often sharing the stage together and showing their playful interactions in numerous broadcasts, which endeared them to the public.
Tae Jin Ah said in a phone interview with a local media outlet that day, 'My heart truly hurts. I set the breakfast table but couldn't even lift the spoon.'
He continued, 'No matter what anyone says, Song Dae Kwan was a heroic singer of Honam and a star among stars in the Korean trot music industry.'
Song Dae Kwan's agency, Star Lineup Entertainment, announced around 10 a.m. that Song Dae Kwan died of a heart attack. The deceased had previously been diagnosed with bile duct cancer and had been undergoing treatment.
