Singer Ku Jun-yup expressed his grief. This comes after news broke that his spouse and Taiwanese actress Shih Yi-yuan, known as 'Taiwanese golden meadow,' passed away from flu pneumonia.
Ku was reported to have said during a currency with a media outlet regarding Shih's death, "I'm not okay." Earlier, there were suggestions of the possibility of fake news; however, Ku stated, "It's not fake news."
Earlier that day, local media including the Central News Agency (CNA) reported, citing Shih Yi-yuan's sister Shih Yi-chieh, that she passed away from pneumonia caused by the flu while traveling in Japan.
Shih gained recognition for her role as the female lead in the Taiwanese drama 'Boys Over Flowers.' In Korea, she was also referred to as 'Taiwanese golden meadow,' named after the female lead of a domestic broadcasting drama.
Shih married a Chinese businessman in 2011 and had a son and daughter, but they divorced in 2021. She then remarried Ku Jun-yup in 2022, drawing significant attention in the entertainment industry of both Korea and Taiwan.
