Singer Kim Heung-gook was fined for driving without a license, a fact that has come to light recently.
The Seoul Central District Court ordered Kim Heung-gook, who was summarily indicted for driving without a license in August last year, to pay a fine of 1 million won. Kim Heung-gook was caught by police for illegal lane changes while driving in Gangnam, Seoul, on April 29 of the same year. According to the police investigation, Kim Heung-gook was driving without a license.
After completing the investigation, police referred the case to the prosecution on May 16, and the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office summarily indicted Kim Heung-gook for a fine of 1 million won on the 22nd of that month. Kim Heung-gook had also faced penalties for drunk driving in 1997 and 2013.
In April 2021, he was involved in an accident in Yongsan, Seoul, when he made a left turn while violating a traffic signal and collided with a motorcycle proceeding straight through a yellow light. At the time, Kim Heung-gook left the scene without taking any action and was later fined 7 million won in November of the same year.
