Actress Demi Moore has won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for the first time in her life.

On the 6th (Korean time), at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, Demi Moore won the Best Actress Award in the musical and comedy category for her role in the film "Substance." By winning the Golden Globe Award, which is considered a crucial indicator in the Oscar race, Demi Moore is making her first attempt at an Academy Award.

Demi Moore took the stage and said, "I have the honor of winning an acting award for the first time in 45 years," adding, "Thirty years ago, a producer told me I was a popcorn actress, and I thought such an award wasn’t suited for me. I believed I could make films that earn a lot of money, but I could never be recognized."

She continued, "One day I found a crazy script, and that was 'Substance.' I am truly grateful for the opportunity to play a character like this," expressing her gratitude to director Coralie Parra.

Demi Moore also noted, "In moments when a woman thinks she is not smart enough, not pretty enough, not slim enough, or not successful enough, if she simply sets aside the judgment of others, she can recognize her own worth," adding, "I will receive today's honor as a reminder that I am doing what I love and that I belong to it."

"Substance" is a nonstop bloody thriller that depicts a fierce battle between me and a better version of myself. In the film, Demi Moore has received acclaim for her shocking performances, which include full nudity and intense fighting scenes. The theme of 'appearance obsession' resonates with the film's main audience, young women, drawing over 170,000 viewers in South Korea and creating a box office sensation.

Demi Moore stated, "I am 62 years old, and I hope that by striving to become the best version of myself, I can help lay the foundation for change for all women. I hope that not just women, but as humans, we can all take a step back and recognize our worth, realizing that no matter what stage we are at, we are all valuable beings," emphasizing that "the really important message while watching 'Substance' is that there is no one better than you."

This work is generating top buzz not only at the box office but also in quality, garnering nominations in seven categories at the Critics' Choice Awards, as well as 11 preliminary nominations at the British Academy Film Awards. It has already recorded 28 wins and 124 nominations, starting with the Best Screenplay Award at the Cannes Film Festival and the Midnight Madness Audience Award at the Toronto International Film Festival.
