As the atmosphere of mourning spreads over the Jeju Air disaster at Muan International Airport in South Jeolla Province, singer JK Kim Dong-wook raised his voice saying, "Do not impose sorrow."

JK Kim Dong-wook noted on Dec. 31 last year through social media (SNS), "For any reason, it is never right to impose sorrow," and added, "Not posting a photo does not mean one is not sad, and not writing a post does not mean one is not mourning."

Continuing, “The new year has dawned, and shouldn't we all live another year experiencing joy and sorrow with our loved ones amidst broad smiles and tears?” and urged, “Let's make it a year where everyone can judge what is right and wrong with reason and furthermore, make a year that can benefit the world."

He added, "I am also writing songs with that mindset," and "Let's live thinking that I, myself, from me, can create a better world."

Meanwhile, after the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster at Muan International Airport on Dec. 29 last year, a national mourning period was declared until the 4th. Broadcasting companies canceled or postponed year-end awards ceremonies and major entertainment programs. Celebrities are actively continuing mourning and condolences, but JK Kim Dong-wook expressed that it is not right to impose this.
