Singer Lim Young-woong expressed condolences regarding the Jeju Air disaster that occurred at Muan International Airport in South Jeolla Province on the 29th.

Lim Young-woong, after finishing the opening song on the third day of the solo concert 'Lim Young-woong Recital' held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro-gu, Seoul from 7:30 p.m. on this day, said, “I greet you with a heavy heart today,” and added, “Hearing the news that valuable lives were lost in the plane accident, I felt deep sorrow and would like to express my sincere condolences to the victims and their families.”

Lim Young-woong also said, “I would like to sincerely thank everyone who is doing their best at the scene despite the difficult situation of the plane accident.”

He continued, “Today, this place holds a precious promise with you,” and added, “I want to convey hope and comfort through today's performance along with the sincerity I had while preparing for the stage.” He then said, “I will do my best to sing to keep the promise of bringing you joy and pleasure.”

Just before the concert began, there was a moment of silence with tens of thousands of fans, following the suggestion of pre-MC Jung Sung-ho.

Meanwhile, singer Sung Si-kyung also mourned the victims of the Jeju Air accident at the concert on this day.

Sung Si-kyung, at the '2024 Sung Si-kyung Year-end Concert' held at Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul on this day, said, “I came with a heavy heart after hearing the news of the accident today,” and added, “I hope no more bad news is heard.”

He continued, “Today’s occasion is a promise with you, so I will do my best. I hope we can take a moment to think about those who were sacrificed and those who may be in mourning right now,” and held a moment of silence with the fans.
