According to a media report on the 26th, the transfer of ownership registration for Yoo Ah-in's detached house in Itaewon-dong was filed with the court on the 19th. The real estate sales contract was signed on Nov. 20.

The dwelling, which Yoo Ah-in bought under the name of the private agency 'U Company Limited' in 2016 for 5.8 billion won, is a detached house with a basement level and three above-ground floors. It was previously featured on the MBC variety show 'I Live Alone,' attracting attention. Yoo Ah-in sold the dwelling last month for 6.3 billion won amid the ongoing trial for drug use charges.

According to the report, the buyer is a 7-year-old child born in July 2017, who reportedly paid the total transaction amount of 6.3 billion won entirely in cash without a loan. The buyer's surname is Park. At the time the ownership transfer registration was filed with the court, the address provided was the residence of Park Hwa-mok, the CEO of PeacePeacestudio, and designer Lee Su-hyun, a married couple. They are the representatives of the famous clothing brand 'Mardi Mercredi.'

Meanwhile, Yoo Ah-in was indicted in Oct. last year for allegedly using propofol 181 times between 2020 and 2022. He also faces charges of illegally obtaining sleeping pills by using another person's name and smoking marijuana with an acquaintance in the United States. On Sept. 1 this year, the first trial court sentenced Yoo Ah-in to one year in prison. The court found him guilty of habitual use of medical narcotics and habitual acquisition of sleeping pills under another's name, but not guilty due to lack of evidence on charges of instructing marijuana smoking and evidence destruction.

In the second trial held on the 24th, the prosecution sentenced Yoo Ah-in to four years in prison, the same as in the first trial. Yoo Ah-in pleaded for leniency, stating, "I will make a pledge to the public. I will swear in a sacred court. I will not forget the gravity of the law and will not repeat my folly." The second trial verdict is expected as early as early next year.
