Actor Song Kang-ho is set to enter Hollywood after 34 years since debut.
On the 20th, a representative from Song Kang-ho's agency, Sublime, noted to our publication that "Song Kang-ho will make a special appearance in 'Fighting People 2'."
"Fighting People 2" is expected to revolve around the events faced by a young couple who accidentally witness a shocking argument between their boss's couple at an elitist country club operated by a Korean billionaire. Steven Yeun, the lead of season 1, will serve as the executive producer.
News of Song Kang-ho's appearance was reported by the American entertainment media outlet, Deadline. According to this, Song Kang-ho is set to work alongside Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac, Charles Melton, Cailee Spaeny, and Youn Yuh-jung. However, his role remains shrouded in mystery.
Released in April, the Netflix series "Fighting People" is a piece that tackles the story of a road rage incident triggering inner dark anger between a struggling contractor and an unsatisfied businessman. Korean-American director Lee Sung-jin took charge of directing, producing, and writing, garnering significant attention domestically.
Notably, "Fighting People" has been recognized for its artistic achievements, attaining substantial success at global awards. It secured awards for Best TV Miniseries, Best Director, Best Writer, and Best Actor at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards.
