Police have launched an internal investigation into allegations of incomplete service by Song Min-ho, a member of the group Winner, as a community service worker.
According to News1 on the 19th, the Seoul Mapo Police Station initiated an investigation the previous day after receiving a complaint on the National Sinmungo regarding allegations of habitual attendance manipulation by Song Min-ho.
Earlier, a media outlet raised allegations that Song Min-ho, who is serving as a community service worker, has not been fulfilling duties properly since being assigned in March and accused him of attendance manipulation.
Song Min-ho enlisted through the Army training center in March last year and has been serving in substitute service. His release from service date is the 23rd. There are four days remaining.
Song Min-ho's agency YG Entertainment officially stated on the 17th regarding the allegations, saying, “It is difficult to confirm detailed information related to the artist's service,” but added, “However, the reason for the medical leave is the continuation of treatment he has been receiving before the service, and all other leave and such were used in accordance with regulations.”
